Cut

The Cut command removes selected objects and their properties. You can perform a paste or paste special to paste the object or its properties.

Use one of the following methods to activate this command:

• Select Edit > Cut.
• Click the Cut toolbar button.
• Press [Command]+[X], the default keyboard shortcut.
